Initially formed in 1984 under the name Avenger, Rage have been active figures in the German heavy metal scence for more than a quarter of a century. Their latest album is called "21", and as the name might suggest, it is also their twenty first album. In regards to tone, the album is dominated by the rapid guitar playing that has come to be expected from a musician with the pedigree of band member Victor Smolski, and tracks that particularly demonstrate this ferocious playing style includes "Psycho Terror", "Feel My Pain", and the powerful closer "Eternally".
