This is the 4th Purple label pressing from 1980. (Originally released 26-DEC-65).
Variations for the purple label:
#1-Purple label with large Capitol logo, has the Capitol script-font logo in the perimeter print: 1977.
#2-Purple label with large Capitol logo, has a softer purple background with no Capitol logo in the perimeter print. The perimeter print states "Manufactured in Canada By Capitol Records", 1978.
#3-Purple label similar to #2, but has "Manufactured And Distributed in Canada UNDER LICENSE by Capitol Records-EMI...." in perimeter text. 1980.
Also issued on the Black rainbow/colorband design in 1983.
#4- Purple label similar to #2 (The Beatles - Rubber Soul) except that this version's matrix runout has MASTERED BY CAPITOL followed by the Capitol 'target' logo in the deadwax.
It also does not state "Distributed by" anywhere on this version.
On spine: "ER Printed in Canada STEREOPHONIC" followed by the Capitol scripted logo.
