SOLUTION formed in Groningen, Holland in 1968. The band recorded their self-titled debut album for Dutch EMI imprint Catfish in May 1971. By the time SOLUTION recorded their second album for EMI’s HARVEST imprint in 1972 the band had evolved with a line-up of TOM BARLAGE (saxophone / flute), WILLEM ENNES (keyboards), GUUS WILLEMSE (bass guitar, vocals) and HANS WATERMAN (drums). "Divergence” featured many fine tracks, including ‘Second Line’, ‘New Dimension’ and the album title track, recorded by fellow Dutch band FOCUS as the piece ‘TOMMY’ on their album "Moving Waves”. This Esoteric Recordings reissue includes the track ‘FEVER’, omitted from the previous CD edition of the album and has been newly re-mastered from the original master tapes. It features a booklet that fully restores all original album artwork with a new essay.
