This CD follows up Moffett’s critically acclaimed 2009 release The Art of Improvisation, which generated extensive reviews and interviews, and was included in Jazz Inside’s Best of the Year list. World-renowned for his impeccable “swing,” Moffett’s concept for this set was to channel that famous swing through original compositions drawing on a surprising array of styles: classic jazz, groove jazz, free jazz, East Indian, gospel, classical, and even country music. An important jazz release!

Moffett’s innovative and pyrotechnic bass playing continues to earn an ever-growing fan base among the millions of jazz and jam band fans who have viewed him onstage and on extremely popular YouTube videos.

Moffett’s popularity is on the rise, partly due to the wide exposure he gained during his participation on guitarist Stanley Jordan’s 2008 Grammy-nominated State of Nature release and subsequent tour, as well as from his fiery presence on Jordan’s strong-selling Live at The New Morning DVD (2009).
