Win - Freaky Trigger - CD

After the demise of Edinburgh cult band Fire Engines in 1982, founder and lead singer/ guitarist Davey Henderson placed his finger firmly on the freaky trigger of eighties pop gun WIN. Managed by the Postcard label sheriff Alan Horne. One of the great lost bands of the eighties, WIN were so much the sum of the decade s parts, it was obvious their time would not come until the decade was dead and buried. With continued interest in Fire Engines , much interest in Henderson s recent bands, the Nectarine No. 9 and the Sexual Objects , WIN look set for a timely re-evaluation.Following a trash course of Prince, Marilyn Monroe and Pope John Paul the First, WIN s second album, Freaky Trigger, was produced by Zeus B. Held - a name at the helm of many a classic eighties production (Fashion - Fabrique / Dead Or Alive - Sophisticated Boom Boom / Transvision Vamp – Pop Art/Velveteen). This first ever re-issue includes the original Virgin Records 1989 release - featuring singles What ll You Do Til Sunday Baby, Dusty Heartfelt and Love Units with it’s remarkable Prince like 12 extended mix - complete with bonus flips from the same period. It has tunes with more hooks than Lady GaGa has looks as well as cheeky in tongue lyrics to boot, and a glistening 80’s Glam chic.
