Recorded live in 1966 at the legendary Big John’s, a swinging Blues club in Chicago’s old town. Along with MANDEL and GOLDBERG this recording features CHARLIE MUSSELWHITE on harmonica, ROY RUBY on bass, MORRIS MCKINLEY on drums, and on guitar BOBBY JONES. Some of the biggest names in Blues played at Big John’s including PAUL BUTTERFIELD, STEVE MILLER, BUDDY GUY, and many others. This record is an attempt to recapture some of those happenings that took place in those early days.
