The Reverend Black & The Rocking Vicars (as the band were originally known) might only have garnered a foot note in the history of British Rock had not their original guitarist quit in 1965 to be replaced by one Ian Willis -aka Ian Kilminster - aka Lemmy/ As might be expected from his current occupation in Motorhead, Lemmy brought a heavy influence to the Vickers embryonic rock n' roll, and his frantic playing saw them embrace some of the pop art Mod sounds, a direction encouraged by Shel Talmy's management. This collection includes the band's entire recorded output, that's the 4 released singles plus 6 unreleased tracks and a sample of their rehearsal tapes.
